My 100th ride?
Feeling a little worn out today from the three 12 hour shifts in the city, and my cold that has me stuffed up pretty well.
3 transports:
A nursing home weakness. I'm riding up in the elevator thinking how many times have I been in this same elevator, in this same nursing home with this same stretcher and medic gear. Do I get a bonus for my 100th ride up? My 1000th?
Did a call for a guy who went over the handle bars of his bike, and was knocked out for two minutes. Was alert when we got there, but had amnesia of the event. He didn't know the day. I'd tell him it was Thursday, then ask him again five minutes later. "Nope," he'd say. "Got me on that one." He had no other injuries. He knew his name and date of birth, but had no idea what happened.
Another nursing home patient who I have done countless times before. Here are some of the abbreviations on her W-10 for her diagnoses: OBS, DEM, HTN, CHF, PVD, DJD, IDDM, CRI, GERD, ARF, CAD, who also is a FULL CODE. She fell and had a nose bleed and swelled up an eye. It was hard to diagnose her mental status because she is extremely demented and gennerally bizzare. She seemed to be her normal self if you can call that normal.
